I’ve had a lot of proud moments as an entrepreneur, from when I first became an S-Corp, to moving into my new studio in Boston’s South End. But one of the most “pinch-me-moments” has been being able to grow the OID team, to bring on other inspiring individuals to join in and create beautiful spaces and homes.
I couldn’t do what I do without the amazing contributions of my team, and I’m thrilled to introduce you to them today! I’m pulling back the OID curtain so you can get a look at the fabulous friends who help me discover and design, curate and create, every single day.
On that note, let me introduce you to…
JENNA TETREAU
Designer at OID
Jenna was born and raised in Massachusetts, and studied Interior Design at Wentworth Institute of Technology. She has been with OID for the past year, collaborating with Jess on everything from project management assistance, creating necessary drawings/plans, construction documents, sourcing for everything from tile to side tables. Jenna assists with all communication between tradespeople and clients. She’s a vital part of the OID team to say the least.
“I love our (OID’s) accessibility to interior design that we’re able to offer our clients. We’re able to provide our skills (to our clients) who have a variety of budgets and needs. Good design is for everyone.”
And some little get-to-know-you better questions just for fun too of course…

I like to start my day with a workout and an iced espresso.

Best way is with a walk to the beach with my boyfriend Matt and our dog Roxy.
What’s your favorite place to eat/drink in the South End?
The Buttery
Share one random fun fact!
I hate chocolate!
Current favorite design trend?
An emphasis on timelessness; pieces to invest in that will last a lifetime.
Least favorite current design trend?
Copying styles just because they’re trending or feeling the need to buy a piece just because everyone else has it.
What is your personal dream home?
A classic New England Cape or Dutch Colonial with symmetrical dormers. Or an English Tudor.
TYLER POQUETTE
Studio Manager at OID
Tyler is originally from Connecticut, but has lived in Boston for the past eleven years. He studied Elementary Education at Emmanuel College but decided to pursue a career in interior design. After a childhood of constantly redecorating his bedroom and years of honing his skills on projects in his own home and special spaces for friends and family, it’s a perfect fit. Tyler recently joined the team to handle OID’s day-to-day operations, from invoicing and drafting client agreements, to purchase orders, sample procurement, project management, and more.
“There are so many things I love about OID! I love seeing Jess’s visions come to life! I also love getting exposure to all parts of the design process from conception to install!”
Let’s get to know Tyler even more…
How do you like to start your day?
I simply can not be a person in the morning without a good cup of coffee. Whether it’s home brewed or a yummy cold brew with oat milk on my way in, it’s the only way to start the day!
How do you like to end your day?
The best way to end the day is binge watching one of our favorite shows on the couch at home with my Partner and Corgi puppy Ollie!
What’s your favorite place to eat/drink in the South End?
The South End is home to so many of my favorite restaurants. Mida is always a go to, fresh pasta and delicious cocktails?! What could be better!
Current favorite design trend?
Dark moody kitchens and bathrooms.
Least favorite current design trend?
Anything with an inspirational quote.
What is your personal dream home?
My dream home would be a mix of traditional bones and modern finishes. I love to mix styles and color palettes and create a cozy and inviting space! It would also have space for a garden and entertaining all of our friends and family.
Jenna, Tyler and I work together in our SOWA (South End) Studio, brainstorming, creating and laughing day in and day out, but there are more folks that help us behind the scenes as well. From Sarra at The Business Bar, who is the mastermind behind my site and endless graphic design queries, to Liz Burdett who helps with all things writing related, from email newsletters to copywriting for our website/blog posts. I couldn’t do what I do without Lara Sinicropi-Yao, a client, dear friend and my logistics and business mentor, and Danielle Langton of The Founders Club, who guides me with all things related to business strategy and support. I’m beyond grateful.
