Real Housewives of New York City Plans to Tape In-Person Reunion on Long Island Despite COVID-19
The reunion taping is scheduled for August 5
The ladies of the Real Housewives of New York City are about to come face-to-face — literally!
The hit Bravo show is set to film an in-person reunion, Andy Cohen announced Wednesday on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live.
“It is looking like we will be doing our RHONY reunion in person,” he said. “Very excited!”
The reunion will take place in Long Island next month, according to the New York Post‘s Page Six.
While the necessary coronavirus (COVID-19) safety precautions are still being determined, the cast and crew will reportedly abide by CDC guidelines, which include limiting the number of people on set and wearing masks.
“A lot of protocols,” said Cohen. “Everybody has to get tested, there’s very few crew, there’s very few people allowed, we are all six feet apart.”
“Hopefully this is going to go well,” he added. “It’s not an outdoor venue but it’s definitely a spaced-out venue.”
Bravo did not return PEOPLE’s request for comment.
The reunion taping is scheduled for Aug. 5 and the women have been quarantined in the weeks leading up to filming, according to Page Six.
Season 12 of RHONY stars Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Leah McSweeney, Luann de Lesseps and Tinsley Mortimer, who left the show midseason to move to Chicago with her fiancé Scott Kluth. It is unclear if Mortimer will attend the reunion.

This will mark the first Bravo in-person reunion since production was shut down in March due to coronavirus pandemic. In May, The Real Housewives of Atlanta filmed the first-ever virtual reunion, with shows including Vanderpump Rules, Shahs of Sunset, Summer House and more following suit.
Cohen recently opened up to PEOPLE about the challenges of filming from home, saying the network has “risen to the occasion under tough circumstances.”
“I think it’s been going as well as it could be or better than it could be,” he said. “I think the idea of seeing two, three, four, five people on screen at one time in different boxes is really fun. I think that the editing has been outstanding. And so I think that we’ve risen to the occasion under tough circumstances.”
